I’ve been tamed!

Hello, world! I’m a marketing beast – well, a tamed one. I’m happy to say that I’ve seen the light. My mission? Inspiring others to use actionable, real-time data to fuel their marketing efforts. Digital marketers love me because I help their teams become agile, navigate around industry fluff, and save them time and money. My mom says I win CMOs over because I’m the warm and fuzzy thing that’s missing in their lives…whatever that means.

This wasn’t always the case.  I used to be frustrated, unproductive, and trapped in a silo. I shudder at the memories of onboarding a new vendor for a retargeting campaign. A new vendor meant a new tag update, and all of a sudden the JavaScript code became a hot potato that nobody wanted to touch. The web development team would have a queue with other updates taking priority over marketing’s needs, or they were just magically unavailable. Going through the organization’s dev cycle was like being forced to suffer through Dante’s 9 circles of hell, and my boss sure made me feel the heat when a campaign couldn’t be turned on. But, I broke through when I started using Tealium, because it allows me to manage those updates on my own. Now my data stream is a flowing river that helps navigate all the resources of the land.

They say the best way to predict the future is to create it. I say the best way to create the future is through data. Fasten your seatbelts, everyone: data is driving me now.
