Today I am extremely excited to announce the launch of the Tealium Learning Community.
Available to Tealium clients and partners, the TLC (pun intended) is the place to find the help, documentation and other educational resources users need to be successful with Tealium’s service. You can find out about new features, learn to navigate the Tealium management console, and get help with any questions you might have on how to maximize your use of Tealium iQ. Because we want Tealium to be the place where digital marketers go to be successful, we believe that a social / community approach to knowledge sharing is the best solution. The Tealium Learning Community is that solution.
Digital Velocity Europe is just two months away and we are delighted to announce that telecommunications giant Vodafone has been added to the list of speakers for the event on June the 20th. Jeroen Jaspar, online product manager for Vodafone, and Adversitement’s Koen Penders will be demonstrating how Vodafone Germany successfully implemented Tealium iQ and used it to boost the effectiveness of their digital marketing. Vodafone’s presentation at Tealium’s inaugural European user conference will also detail best practices and the role tag management plays in their online strategy.
Editor’s Note: This is part of an ongoing interview series with digital marketing leaders, including many of the 450+ major solution vendors that are integrated into the Tealium tag management platform on a turnkey basis. This week we interviewed digital marketing veteran Robert Seolas, co-founder at ObservePoint, a leader in web tag auditing that provides quality assurance tools for improving the quality and reliability of web analytics data, and enables companies to be confident in their data-driven decisions.
Where are your web site visitors going? If you’re an e-commerce marketer, answering that question and increasing conversions are always top priorities. There are plenty of different variables that affect customer conversions, but below are three common reasons why your visitors could be fleeing your site:
- They don’t want to wait. Akamai revealed that 47 percent of consumers expect an e-commerce page to load in 2 seconds or less – which means your site better be up to par, or off to a competitor’s site they go.
- Your marketing campaigns aren’t effective.
- You need a better measurement strategy.
Tag Management Systems (TMS) have been increasingly adopted by e-commerce marketers to maximize their online effectiveness and improve the performance of their website. As digital marketers increase the number of marketing vendors they use, deploying and managing tags becomes a challenge, often resulting in page bloat and ultimately hinders page performance. TMS enhances site performance and efficiency, gives marketers better control of their online vendors and digital data, and allows them to manage their digital marketing tools easier than ever.
As e-commerce technology continues to evolve, digital marketers are increasingly turning to tag management for a seamless way to manage their third-party vendors, and maximize online marketing effectiveness.
Managing vendor tags has become one of the biggest challenges in digital marketing today because it is so costly and time-consuming. Marketers are often at the mercy of IT to launch new campaigns or make changes to existing ones, ultimately hindering workflow agility and sapping valuable resources. Have you tried to launch a new vendor and were told that it wasn’t “priority” or missed deadlines because of your dev cycle? Read on.
Jim Sterne, founder of the Digital Analytics Association (DAA) and eMetrics Summit, was the keynote speaker at Digital Velocity. In his presentation, “Nimble Digital Marketing Master,” Jim shared his thoughts on why a digital marketer’s job is (almost) impossible. Jim spent a few minutes with Erik Bratt, VP of Marketing at Tealium, to define “big data” and how tag management helps solve the big data problem.
Andrew Edwards, co-founder of the Digital Analytics Assocation (DAA) CEO at Technology Leaders, and Managing Partner at Efectyv Marketing joined a panel of web analytics industry pioneers at Digital Velocity to discuss the value of tag management. Andrew spent a few minutes with us to define “convergence analytics” — his new initiative with fellow web analytics pioneer Rand Schulman — and to expand on the benefits of tag management. To keep up with Andrew and other hot topics in the analytics space, visit Andrew’s blog Measure for Measure.
Forrester Research’s Joe Stanhope, one of the industry’s leading authorities on tag management, recently gave his take on numerous hot topics, including the role of tag management in enabling big data initiatives, while attending Digital Velocity recently (see photos). Joe delivered one of the keynote presentations at the customer conference, which drew more than 200 attendees to Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. See Joe’s presentation or get a free copy of Joe’s latest report, “Understanding Tag Management Tools & Technologies.”
We rocked out at the Hard Rock last week in San Diego. Our first annual user conference was a huge success and the team at Tealium is still riding on Cloud 9 from all the great responses we received from those in attendance. A sold out crowd of more than 200 customers, speakers, and special guests roamed “Abbey Road” (one of the Hard Rock’s cool murals) at Digital Velocity. We took tons of a few photos to capture the magic as it was happening. Check out our Facebook page or Flickr album to view some great shots. Thanks to all of those who have contributed to our growth thus far, and get ready for what’s in store!
