SAN DIEGO, CA (July 9, 2014)Tealium, the global leader in enterprise tag management and solutions that power real-time unified marketing initiatives, today announced that it has been named as one of the Best Places to Work in San Diego by the San Diego Business Journal and the Best Companies Group. The Journal will hold a special awards ceremony on August 7 to honor Tealium and the other winners.

“We strive to create a workplace where employees come first, and passion and talent are rewarded,” said Jeff Lunsford, CEO of Tealium. “I’m beyond pleased to say we’re living up to this goal, and have worked hard to foster a culture where innovation comes alive and people are inspired to deliver the best for our clients.”

The Best Places recognition is the latest in a series of awards for Tealium, including being named one of Forbes’s Most Promising Companies in America for 2014 and having its Tealium® AudienceStream service recognized by the Digital Analytics Association as the New Technology of the Year. In May, the San Diego Venture Group named Tealium as one of its “Cool Companies” for 2014.

The Best Places survey and awards program, now in its eighth year, is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in San Diego, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce, and businesses. Tealium was recognized in the medium-sized category, honoring companies with 50–249 employees. To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be a publicly or privately held business
  • Have a facility in San Diego
  • Have at least 15 employees in San Diego
  • Be in business a minimum of one year

Hundreds of companies from across San Diego County entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in San Diego. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings. The Best Companies Group manages the overall registration and survey process, analyzes the data, and determines the final rankings.

The winners and their rankings will be published in the August 18 issue of the San Diego Business Journal. For more information, please visit www.BestPlacestoWorkSD.com.
