UK Media Giant Deploys Tealium Across Multiple Online Media Properties to Help Increase Marketing Efficiency, Reduce Costs and Improve Web Site Performance

San Diego, CA, and London, UK (June 13, 2012) – Tealium, the leader in enterprise tag management, today announced that News International, the UK publishing division of News Corporation, has deployed Tealium across its online media network, including The Sun, The Times and The Sunday Times. The Sun is the largest newspaper by circulation in the UK, and one of the largest in the world.

After conducting an extensive review, News International selected Tealium for its unparalleled scale and performance, intuitive web interface, and depth of enterprise features, including mobile tagging, enhanced privacy compliance, workflow management, reporting and alerting, and much more.

“We were impressed by Tealium from the start,” said Simon Smith, head of data and analytics for News International’s digital technology division. “They offered the best combination of technology and service, making it very easy for us to manage vendor tags across all of our sites. Tealium is critical to our online success.”

Tealium will enable News International to increase marketing efficiency, reduce costs and improve web site performance across its entire network by replacing dozens of digital marketing vendor tags with a single line of code. Business users can then add, edit and remove any tag (pixel) via an intuitive web interface without having to be an expert in JavaScript.

“News International is a powerful global brand and a technology innovator,” said Ali Behnam, co-founder at Tealium. “We are proud to welcome them into the Tealium community and look forward to helping them solve their most complex online challenges.”

Tealium opened an office in the UK in 2011 and recently added new staff to accommodate rapid growth in the UK and across Europe. Tealium added 29 new enterprise clients in the first quarter of this year, several of them in Europe, and now has customers on five different continents.
