New flagship office, leadership appointments, and availability of local language platform empower a new market with real-time customer data

TOKYO, JAPAN and SAN DIEGO, CA (October 20, 2015) – Tealium, the leader in enterprise tag management and real-time unified customer data solutions, today announced the company has extended its rapidly growing global presence with the establishment of a new flagship office and executive leadership appointment in Japan. In addition, to meet the growing demand for more sophisticated customer data solutions across the region, Tealium highlighted the availability of a local language version of the company’s leading customer data platform, comprised of Tealium iQ, Tealium AudienceStream, and Tealium DataAccess.

According to Forrester Research, the Japanese tech market is expected to reach US$179 billion in 2015.[1] To further clarify that growth, Forrester Research states: “Digital marketing projects will drive tech consulting and software demand…In particular, Forrester expects Japanese marketers to push for digital experience platforms that integrate the ways front-office teams engage with their customers across different digital touchpoints. Barriers to these projects exist, though, and only enterprises with a clear digital vision and the appetite to reorganize their highly complex back-end systems will succeed.”[2]

“Our establishment of a formal presence in Japan is a direct reaction to the market’s demand for best-in-class, real-time customer data solutions,” said Jeff Lunsford, CEO of Tealium. “The problem that Tealium solves is universal: we provide actionable data in real time, and eliminate the latency that results from trying to stitch together disconnected marketing applications and data sources. We look forward to supporting organizations across Japan in addressing their customer data challenges, and engaging with their customers in an entirely new way.”

Tealium has appointed industry veteran, Andy Clark, as General Manger of Asia Pacific and Representative Director of Tealium Japan, responsible for driving all aspects of Tealium’s business across the region. Clark is a digital technology veteran, with nearly 20 years of building and leading teams in Asia Pacific for dynamic, growth-oriented technology companies. Prior to Tealium, he served as Group Vice President, Asia Pacific for Limelight Networks, and has held senior positions at Crossbeam Systems, RightNow Technologies, and IBM.

“This is a pivotal time for Tealium’s solutions to come to market in Japan,” said Clark. “I’m excited to help Japanese organizations tackle the significant issue of unifying their customer data, and ultimately transform the way they do business.”

To bring the company’s solutions to market, Tealium is collaborating with digital agencies and system integrators, including eAgency Co. Ltd, D.A. Consortium Inc., and OPT, Inc.

Tealium’s customer data platform enables organizations to seamlessly connect and manage all of their marketing applications and fragmented data sources. For more information, visit tealium.com or tealium.co.jp.
