German airline will leverage Tealium to improve performance and results for global marketing initiatives

San Diego, CA (May 30, 2013) — Tealium, the leader in enterprise tag management, today announced the addition of German airline Lufthansa to its growing list of enterprise-level clients worldwide. Lufthansa join a prestigious roster of European brands such as Nokia, Urban Outfitters, TUI and News International that utilize Tealium’s tag management solution for improving their digital marketing effectiveness.

Following a thorough review of the market, Lufthansa chose Tealium for its scalability, reliability and performance, as well as for its ease of use in helping marketers be more agile and efficient in deploying mission-critical third party online vendors. The implementation of Tealium’s solution will also allow Lufthansa to enhance its mobile marketing measurement and results.

The new customer signing underlines the rapid growth of tag management in the US and overseas as brands seek to streamline their digital marketing operations and increase efficiency. Using Tealium, Lufthansa is now empowered to manage all its tag-based digital marketing solutions, including web analytics reporting and dynamic site testing tools, through an intuitive user interface.

“The proliferation of JavaScript tags in digital marketing has created a new set of problems for digital marketers. Tags are costly to manage, slow down marketing, and can negatively impact the speed at which your web pages load,” said Ali Behnam, President and Co-Founder at Tealium. “Tealium solves these issues by reducing complexity and maximizing results, while also providing a rich data source to help power big data initiatives.”

“Throughout the evaluation process, Tealium proved to be the best matching tag management solution for Lufthansa’s future e-commerce strategy,” said Marcus Casey, Head of E-Commerce and Mobile Lufthansa. “We required an easy to use solution that is both scalable and robust, and Tealium delivers just that.”

This year is already proving hugely successful for Tealium. The company posted banner first quarter results, including growth to more than 250 enterprises, $15.6M in Series C Financing, and the launch of several customer initiatives, including Digital Velocity Europe, Tealium’s European user conference that takes place June 20th in London.
