Digital Marketing Veteran Clint Ivy Appointed to Oversee Hands-On Training Program, Which Will Debut at Digital Velocity 2013

SAN DIEGO, CA–(Marketwire – Oct 30, 2012) – Tealium, the leader in enterprise tag management systems, today announced the launch of Tag Management University (TMU), the industry’s first formalized training program on how to use tag management to increase digital marketing efficiency and results. The program will be led by Tealium’s new Sr. Director of Education Clint Ivy, formerly of Fox Audience Network and Disney Internet Media Group, and will debut at Digital Velocity, Tealium’s first-ever user conference scheduled for Jan. 23-25, 2013, at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego.

Tag Management University (TMU) is designed for customers and agency partners of Tealium, and will cover a wide range of material, from tag management fundamentals to advanced techniques covering mobile tagging, e-commerce, data validation, and more. Customers who participate in the program will receive a certificate of completion, while partners will be able to take the first step toward formal certification. TMU will kick off at Digital Velocity as part of an all day, classroom-style training program, and will expand into other venues later in the year. The program will also evolve to include training videos, screencasts, webinars, and more.

“Education works best when you connect lessons to specific problems,” said Ivy, who brings 12 years of enterprise web analytics experience to his new role. “TMU will focus on helping customers identify their pain points and challenges, and then teach them how to solve those problems using Tealium. I am looking forward to launching this initiative at Digital Velocity and working with our many customers in a hands-on setting.”

For its debut at Digital Velocity, TMU will feature six formal training sessions, including: Tag Management Fundamentals; Extending your Implementation; Web Analytics Implementations; Ecommerce; Tagging for Mobile and Video; and Data Validation and Testing. The all-day session will include multiple instructors per session, actual testing environments, and a detailed curriculum. All training material will be provided free of charge.

“TMU is one of the big reasons we decided to attend Digital Velocity,” said Joseph Brown, director of web analytics and reporting for Lincoln Financial Group in Philadelphia, PA. “Combining industry best practices with in-depth product training will help us improve the speed and effectiveness of our online marketing operations.”

“Comprehensive training like the kind being offered at Digital Velocity is invaluable, and one of the big reasons we are sending our digital team,” said Jeremy Hermanns, vice president of performance marketing for Onestop Internet, which runs the e-commerce operations for 35+ major apparel retailers, including Nicole Miller, Reef, Spy and many more. “We are looking forward to the advanced sessions on e-commerce and mobile tagging, as well as interacting with the Tealium team.”

Digital Velocity is the industry’s largest tag management user conference, scheduled for Jan. 23-25 at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego, CA. Day 1, on Jan. 24, will feature digital marketing thought leaders, customer success stories, and product feedback sessions. Day 2 will feature the launch of TMU.
